An illustrator at heart, I’m probably happiest when painting a story, a narrative by which I’m inspired to create imagery. Many of my paintings stem from stories I’ve read or tales I’ve made up. My favourite theme is probably best described as weird and wonderful characters in imaginary landscapes.
I occasionally use acrylic paints but work mainly in oils on hand-stretched paper, artists’ board or canvas. All surfaces are coated in layers of fine-art quality gesso which are sanded down to create a beautifully smooth painting surface.
All giclée prints are a limited edition, signed and numbered by the artist.
